The TG-05 Gas Grenades are a set of toxic chemical gas canisters. Because of the extremely dangerous nerve agent in this canisters these are available for trained medics only. The canister is thrown and designed to break on impact, releasing the agent in a large radius affecting any organic matter.
Description[]
A set of highly toxic gas grenades. Released bio-hazard toxin upon detonation covering a small area with a cloud of gas. Anything remotely touching the area will liquefy and decompose at an extreme rate. Handling this material needs the standard medical bio-hazard manipulation certification.
Advantages[]
- Area denial to cut off the swarm
- Can be thrown, no need to place it at your feet
Disadvantages[]
- High risk of friendly fire, cannot be rolled through or extinguished like M478 Proximity Incendiary Mines
- Terrible as a last resort
- Does not deal sufficient damage to reliably kill drones on Insane difficulty or higher, requires stacking
Strategy[]
- Use Gas Grenades to block off the swarm while escaping or holding position.
- Make sure to throw them where it will not cause friendly fire. Once thrown, the gas cannot be stopped.
- On higher difficulties, Gas Grenades should only be used as a supplement to Incendiary Mines, as the drones can just run through the acidic clouds.
